Wes Sylvester is Director of Cisco Systems' Digital Transformation Group for the Americas. In this role, Wes and his team work with Cisco's manufacturing, transportation, utility, energy, and oil and gas customers to establish business case, architecture and integrated communications network strategies for a variety of delivery value chains. Wes comes to Cisco with over a decade of industrial, energy, and utility focused experience in multiple marketing and sales leadership roles; most recently as the Director of Smart Grid for Siemens Energy Inc. Wes holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MSOE in Milwaukee, and a MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, with a concentration in Strategy and Leadership.

As the leading evangelist of web based exchanges alex authored patents that cover aspects of the Smart Grid , Ad exchanges, Groupon, Twitter, Skype, App Store, Netflix streaming concept and many other top performing web companies. Alex has proven his ability to identify winning trends, build a powerful intellectual property portfolio and bring together winning teams to build world-class companies. He has raised over $250m in venture and private equity funds to help position his startups as leaders in their fields. Arbinet fundraising was documented in an HBS case study in 2001.
