Despite the growth of non-traditional communications, voice remains the most popular business communications medium. Typically, those interactions, however, do not create as much value as they should, but the growth of new speech analytics capabilities is changing that. How can your business leverage the latest technologies to extract intelligence from not only customer conversations in the contact center, but throughout your business, including live calls, webinars, virtual conferences, and conference calls, and create better businesses processes to create more efficient processes, better understand brand relevance, identify sales and marketing opportunities.

SD-WAN to the Rescue
UC-06
MetTel

Not long ago, enterprise networks were fairly straightforward, far from the complex architectures they boast today, driven by mobility, cloud computing, a corresponding dramatic increase in network traffic, along with a requisite investment in new hardware. Are SD-WANs the cure for network headaches? They certainly have many features to eliminate many pain points. What are the realities of SD-WAN and how will it evolve to meet future needs, or is it a short-lived fix?

Keynote Presentation by Business Insider: For Whom the Voice Assistant Speaks
K-06
Business Insider
Voice is on its way to displacing text as the most common type of digital input, but only if consumers jump on board. While the significant advances in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning have spurred more evolution in the development of voice assistants in the past five years than they did in the prior fifty, consumer adoption will ultimately be the golden standard by which the success of these systems are judged. In this keynote, BI Intelligence identifies the current level of capability in the voice assistant market and presents new data on how consumers are warming, or not, to this new spoken form of computer input, and identify shortcomings in today’s iterations of voice assistants along with what needs to be done to solve lingering technical issues in order to spur further adoption. Ultimately, this session seeks to answer the question of if or when voice assistants will truly disrupt the manner in which consumers interact with their digital lives and the businesses and brands they rely on.

Analytics – The Big Picture
CP-07
Business use of speech analytics is on the rise, as are other metrics, with the goal of delivering a better experience. In order to fully leverage the data, they must be able to connect the pieces of the entire experience and integrate the intelligence into their overall business application suite, including communications, CRM, BI, marketing, and sales.

Integrating AI into Business Apps
CP-02
Connectivity, cloud computing, and processing power have combined to create a new landscape where machine learning and analytics are being used to drive business processes and decisions. But these powerful capabilities lose their meaning unless they’re tied into existing business processes and applications. What standards exist for APIs to enable this integration? What challenges exist? What are the best practices to ensure success the first time around?

Bluetooth and Beyond
UC-12
Plantronics
Without Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy in play, the idea of a future where people can experience seamless IoT engagement falls apart. But the truth of the matter is, along with Bluetooth, connectivity technologies such as NFC and WiFi will also be essential. After all, while it’s true that Bluetooth is superior for certain use cases, an honest conversation about the future of connectivity to support the emerging IoT, and increasingly sophisticated device interaction in the very near future, wouldn’t be possible without acknowledging the importance of all relevant connectivity technologies. In this session, Arun Rajasekaran, Director, DSP Engineering at Plantronics, will explore current Bluetooth trends, challenges, and opportunities associated with voice, mobility, security, new standards activities, and more. Additionally, Arun will share his thoughts and solicit audience discussion about the possibilities, opportunities, and challenges associated with developing a ‘master radio’ technology. What types of problems could be solved and what new business models could be triggered if the best aspects of each of today’s open connectivity technologies, including Bluetooth and BLE, were brought together to enable an all new connectivity ecosystem?
